Dear Parents/Caregivers:
We are excited to announce that our school will be proudly taking part in the 2022 Terry Fox School Run, scheduled to take place on Friday, September 23 . This event will support cancer research while also building incredible school spirit for our students. Let’s all show the great strength and resiliency of our school community with your support of one of our greatest Canadian heroes, Terry Fox.
On Friday, September 23rd, we will run or walk for Terry in different sections of the yard, as well as on the path behind the school. Children should come dressed to be active! The rain date will be Monday, September 26th.
The Terry Fox Foundation has created an online fundraising page for our school as well as provided student/classroom “Terry” activities. Here are some of the ways you can support your child for this year’s Terry Fox event:

- There is no minimum donation, every dollar counts!
- Receipts are issued immediately to donors by email
- Help your child set up a student fundraising page
- Upload personal photos, videos and messages to share with friends and family
- All student logins and links are private and secure
- Support your child’s “Try Like Terry” Challenge
- Help your child select a goal and fun activity to support their fundraising efforts
- Try one of the suggested activities online or come up with your own
- Share your activity on social media and tag others to join
We need volunteers to help on the day of the event. Please let your child’s teacher know if you are able to help and you have a current criminal record check on file with the school office. Then we’ll contact you with details. We are very excited to be a part of this year’s Terry Fox event. This is our opportunity to “Try Like Terry” and go the distance.
